In times of crisis, Scouts find a way to adapt. Although our lives may look a little different, Scouting can and should continue even if we cannot hold in-person meetings. Samoset Council staff and volunteers are working hard to provide a means for parents and youth to enjoy age appropriate character-building activities and projects at home. Many of these projects are designed to engage the entire family.

A virtual roundtable will be held April 9th at 7:00 PM.  A link to this meeting will be posted on our website on the roundtable page.  Below are the topics currently planned for this meeting.  All Scouting leaders are encouraged to attend.

Samoset Council has taken action to ensure that Scouts remain safe, while the Scouting for Food program goes on.  As it’s needed more than ever, Scouting for Food will be moving to an online cash donation format.  Monetary donations are preferred by food banks for several reasons.  Cash is easy to organize, there’s no overhead associated with it and food banks buy more food at wholesale prices with cash.  Just $1 dollar can buy 10 meals in Wisconsin!

100% of the dollars raised are directed to food pantries across North Central Wisconsin and will support families who reside within your zip code! 

This service project is too important to cancel!  We need everyone to help spread the word in their communities since we will not be placing bags door to door.  This campaign will take place from April 15 - April 30, 2020.

The Tesomas Alumni Camping Trust has been established to assist any Scout or leader with financial need to experience outdoor adventure, including summer camp, winter camp, or high adventure. Request must be made using the campership application for each person by May 1.  Please note this deadline has been extended from what is listed on the form.
