The Samoset Council Office is currently closed until further notice.  Staff are working remotely to provide support to Scouting.  You can reach a member of our customer service team by calling 715-355-1450.   

Scouting at Home Resources

In times of crisis, Scouts find a way to adapt. Although our lives may look a little different, Scouting can and should continue even if we cannot hold in-person meetings. Please visit our Scouting at Home page for the latest ideas, resources, and fun ways to keep Scouting!

  • Gather 100 items that are important to your family (be creative), take a picture and post it to Instagram with the hashtag #Samoset100 - Top two pictures with the most likes by morning of April 26 wins Samoset 100th anniversary gear!
  • Wednesday, April 22 at 4:00 PM - Join us for the 100 best jokes in Samoset Council. Submit your joke here. - Join us live on the Samoset Council Facebook Page
  • During this week, we are asking you to collect at least 100 coins to donate to your local food pantry and/or Scouting for Food.
  • Saturday, April 25 at 7:00 PM - Virtual Campfire - join our camp staff for a virtual campfire live on the Crystal Lake Scout Reservation Facebook Page and the Samoset Council Youtube Page.

Next week details regarding the Samoset Virtual Camporee will be release.  We encourage all Scouts to camp (at least one night) in their backyard during the month of May.  

Virtual Campfire April 25

Do you want to be part of the Virtual Campfire on Saturday April 25? We need your help. You, and your family, get together to film a very short video that will be shown in the campfire. You will need a device to play some music so you sync with everyone and a way to film you doing the Cool Cat song. Here are the instructions: https://youtu.be/3t3JY6ev4zw

Custom Tshirt Orders

Pre-order for everyone to wear at camp. The order deadline has been extended to May 15. Imagine your entire unit wearing a camp shirt; what better way to show your camp spirit!  If your week of camp is cancelled and your unit does not attend camp, we will not order or charge you for your shirts and your unit is not out any money for placing your order. 

May Roundtable

A virtual roundtable for all Scouting leaders will be held on May 7 at 7:00 PM.  This month will feature presentations for our fall membership campaign.  Scouting is a valuable program for every family.  Learn how to help others join.
