Facility Rentals

Looking for a great activity for your unit or group? Samoset Council offers a variety of facilities and equipment to enhance your weekend programs.

For your camping needs we have patrol and troop campsites, patrol sized cabins as well as cabins large enough for an entire unit. We also have facilities for year round use that include indoor restrooms and showers as well as kitchens.

To help you with programming you could rent canoes at Flambeau Canoe Base, in Phillips, WI or canoes located at Camp Tesomas, in Rhinelander. We can also help you with tents, sleeping bags, packs, mountain bikes, and other program equipment.  Contact our Camping Department for more information.

Samoset Property Details

• Phillips Scout Camp: (Weston, WI) located along the Eau Claire River in Weston, WI. This camp features lots of outdoor camping areas, pavilions, four bunk houses and our McCormick Lodge that has running water, kitchen, and indoor restroom.
• Crystal Lake Scout Reservation: (Rhinelander, WI) Home of Camp Tesomas, Hanna Venture Base, and Akela's World.  This camp features our summer camping programs but also offers great year-round events and a wonderful location for groups and units can stay.  Nearly 1000 acres of thickly wooded area with our beautiful Crystal Lake in the center of the property.
• Eau Pleine Slopes: (Stratford, WI)  Located along the Big Eau Pleine River River, northwest of Stratford WI. If your looking for remote camping right next to the water then check this little hidden gem out.
• Flambeau Canoe Base: (Phillips, WI)  Nestled deep in the Northwood’s just a few miles west of Phillips.  Located on the south fork of the Flambeau River, this facility has hiking trails,
  several troop camp sites, a covered shelter, and campfire area. For spring through fall use, there are 6 canoes on a trailer.
• Four Mile Scout Camp: (Mosinee, WI)  Primitive camping at its best this camp sits right along Four Mile Creek.  It features picnic shelter, tables, and fire ring for a great spot for a troop campout.

Unit Reservations (for Scout Groups)

• Reservations are accepted up to 12 months in advance.  Call to check availability.
• Please contact our Camping Department by email or call 715-355-1450.  Reservation deposits are required to reserve your rental.
• Half of the facility rental cost is due at the time of the reservation as the deposit (non-refundable).
• Remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your reservation. 
• Cancellations of reservations made at least 90 days in advance can be transferred to a new reservation within 12 months of the cancellation date. Reservation cancellations made less than 90 days in advance will result in loss of deposit.

Meeting Facility Rentals

Looking for a group meeting, Court of Honor, or other day use.  We do rent our camp facilities for these purposes.  See below for building rentals on half day rental rates.
