Cub Scouting
Youth 5-10 Years Old (Grades K-5)
Cub Scouts are full of energy! Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the Scouts doing things. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den, an age specific group, in which the den leader provides weekly activities for the Scouts to complete. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly meeting of the larger group, or pack.
Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, lessons on good citizenship and a Scout's sense of belonging are created through: the Cub Scout sign, handshake and motto.
Activities
Cub Scouting is an active program. Everything we do is designed to have Scouts participating in active learning. Activities happen at weekly den meetings and monthly pack meetings as well as right at home with family members. They are designed to be fun and to achieve the aims of Scouting - citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness.
Camping
Age-appropriate camping programs are packed with theme-oriented action that brings Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts into the world of imagination. From day camps to overnight camps, all Scouting programs and facilities are designed to match each Scout’s interests and experience levels. Camping programs combine fun and excitement with doing one's best, getting along with others, and developing an appreciation for the environment and the world of the outdoors.
