Wilderness First Aid 2022

The American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid is a good, basic course in backcountry emergency response for those who live, work, or play in remote areas. The course is for anyone who participates in activities away from traditional EMS service – when there may be a significant delay in the notification of outside assistance, the time requires for definitive care to get to the victim, or moving the victim to more advanced treatment.

This course will require a CPR & First Aid basic level certification from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association or other similar organization which will be offered on Friday evening beginning at 6:00pm. 

Some of the activities may be outdoors – dress for the weather. 

Please put together and bring with an example First Aid kit that you would bring with you on a back country or high adventure camping trip.

Cancellation Policy
Course fees are typically non-refundable. However, the Samoset Council will deal with each situation in which a written refund request is received and endeavor to be as fair as possible. All refunds are calculated after the nonrefundable deposit.
